Default Does Jim@TireRack price match?

Found a set of tires cheaper on another reputable site, but I just feel more comfortable with Jim and TireRack due to the s2ki support and good things I've heard from customers.

So Jim, if you're out there, if you can price match let me know. If not, I'll understand and give a shot with this company.

The best prices are those that are listed on the site. Give me a call on specific tires if you find something.

MONEY TALKS
I'll worry about scratching someone elses back after I get a fair shake.

I feel that Tire Rack should price match, and to top it off, do better. Thats the comfort I want as a customer, the kind of comfort that looks out for the greenbacks in my pocket. Just think about all the business they would generate if they stood by this...

ps. you also have to think about all the additional charges; shipping/handling (including your own time handling), then paying good money to get them installed. Its hard to beat full service.

Who are they going to price match? They have some of the best prices already on tires. Most places price match to get near Tire Rack's prices. They have to make money too, otherwise why would they even have a business?

I was able to get tires mounted for the same listing price as Tire Rack (listing, not including shipping.)

You think if they shaved their prices to meet another companies that they would be at a loss? Yeah right! Do you know the mark up on tires? My buddy that I grew up with showed me a sheet once with the retail mark ups, makes me wonder why I manufacture corrugated vs. rubber.

We do not price match competitors but we will be competitive. We do have what I believe is the best customer service in the business and we stand behind everything we sell. We sponsor things like BMW club racing and forums that we are on now. I have news about the mark up on tires as well. The guy that is doing the mounting and balance makes more money than we do on the tires.
We sell the tires for a price that is fair and that we need to stay at to stay in business. I would think you need to make a fair price on your corrugated to stay in business as well.
If we are out of the ball park on something shoot me an email and I can check.

Are any of these tire shops participating on forums to help you make the right tire decisions? Maybe you haven't been to any car events, but I would bet TireRack puts more money on small car events than anyone else - they help make them happen!

Nobody ever looks at the big picture these days

No, they don't. If you fixate solely on price then you deserve the issues you'll have down the road. As an example, try buying high end cameras from the cheapest dealers...

Thanks guys for the support. We do try to be very competitive on pricing but we do want to stay around. We do more on tire testing than anybody in the business. We also do spend a lot of money on sponsoring events.
If I can help let me know.
