Do you have your fenders rolled and flared? Are you lowered? If you're going non stagger, I'd say 255s all around would do the trick, but that'll require a decent bit of fender work.

 

right now with stock ap1 wheels im pretty low 2inches ill say and yes i would like to keep same height as of right now if possible

 

-3 camber all the way around. Front and rear fender roll, bumper tab relocated in rear, a decent 10mm pull up front and 245's, with 255 in back.

Then just get the 17x9 +45. it'll be much easier to fit and you can run 245 square or 255 square pretty easily with just a basic fender roll, slight pull and bumper tab relocation.

I see no point in going to 17x9.5 +38 unless you're specifically looking for extra grip from a 255 tire. Actually, a number of track guys say that the 17x10 +38 rpf1 with 255 square is an easier fit than 17x9.5 due to the ever so slight side wall stretch - which is actually beneficial at this point for less deflection.

that said, there is a limit, and a point where tire stretch is not functional. Your intended use is needed. Do you want to drive the car, or do you want to look "cool" and park the car at meets?

 

You can go with either the 245/40R17 or the 255/40R17. They are both within the tire mfg's specs. Like all the others have said though you are going to need to do some work to make them fit. I also agree with Bullwings that the 17X9 will work better and easier to fit.

If you want to retain the "look" concave front and rear but maximize functionality at the same time and ease of front fitment, run the 9.5 +38 out back with the 255, and run the 9 +45 up front with a 245. Thread/

 

I totaled my 300ZX Twin Turbo and just bought a 2001 Honda S2000. Before they sent my 300ZX to the salvage yard I took off my aftermarket Enkei wheels with Hankook tires on them and I want to ask if this setup will fit on my 01 S2K with out modifying the car...
