No, they will not fit. Actually the front would fit, but the rear is not even close. The rear offset is way too low.

Please read the Wheel Fitment Guide sticky at the top of the forum page (it's also right here in my sig.)

Nothing close to those specs will fit the rear. Read the Guide and you'll see why.

Cheers.
i dont want to roll my fenders. so front Front Wheels: Enkei RPF1 17x7.5 +48 will work without rolling my fenders right??? here are the specs from enkei website. you mentioned the offset being too low. it looks like 17x9 only comes in + 35 offset. what specs can i get for the rears that would work???????????

http://enkei.com/RacingSeriesSpecs/RPF1.html

this guy from here said that he got 17x9 +45 all the way around. just curious if theyre custom? or does he mean its 17x8 +45 because silver rpf1's 17x9 are only available in +35 offset.
can you order these custom fitment?

You shouldn't have to ask this question. READ THE WHEEL FITMENT GUIDE. It will tell you exactly what offsets you need for a wheel of a given width. A 17x8 +45 would work for the rear, but you can't buy it with the right bolt pattern of 5x114.3. You could probably get the 17x8.5 +40 to work, but you would have to stick to a relatively narrow tire on the rear, like 225, to keep it from rubbing. At that point it's not worth it because you can run wider tires than that with OEM wheels!

17x7.5 +48 will work on the front, but is likely to rub with a 225 tire. A 215 would be better. Unless you use Toyos, which run narrow, and a 225 would probably work.

You have to consider tire stagger as well. That's also in the sticky....

A 35 offset is not going to work, ever, unless you modify the car.

I don't know anything about custom fitments. You can call Enkei for that.

sorry to whore your thread but im thinking about the same rims in 17x7.5 48 f and 17x8.5 40 r with 215/45 tires in front and 250/50 in rear. im also going to be running espelir springs with a 1.5 in drop all around. would this work?

Not to beat a dead horse, but check out the wheel fitment guide. It's right there, plain as day. Look at the wheel width you are asking about. Now what minimum offset does it say to use?

The front will fit. But the rear is too tight for a wide tire. You'd have to run a 225 in the rear to be sure to avoid rubbing, and then you don't have much tire stagger... that is, the rear isn't much wider than the front. This would make the S2000 tend to oversteer easily. Thus, you should run a narrower front tire...

Oh, and also... can't buy 250/50 tires.

whenyou run a brand like... BFG/dunlop/nitto. pretty much anything w/ lip protector you can pull it on the wheel.

say. a 255 dunlop on a 9" wheel.. the dunlops designed for an 8.. so itl pull. look in any magazine at those XB's and XA's and lexi' running 10's and 11" wheels.

it doesnt hurt the car.. just looks good

for example.. 18x9.5 +43 w/ pulled on tire
the front is an 8.5 +48
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Why would you want to drive a car like that? It's obviously going to handle like sh!t - you're setting up your suspension to ride around on the bump stops, your alignment is all out of whack to fit a huge wheel that's running a tire which is way too narrow. What a waste of time. You've made a car that not only looks absurd but which handles leaps and bounds worse than a stock car. Well done!

get a special order size.. i didnt read the whole thread so someone might have covered it, but here are some that will work:

17x7 45
17x7.5 48
17x8 45
17x9 45

i got those out of a new enkei brochure i have (and which my car is in ) if you want me to scan the page in i can.. it has all the sizes...

personally, id run 17x7 up front with 215/45/17 tire and 17x8 in the rear with a 245/40/17 tires... its what i run right now on my enkei RS+M's pretty much stock ap2 tire size.. and i have no rubbing issues..but then again my 17x8 for the rear have a 48offset... but you may be able to pull off a 45...
if you want wider you "should" be able to fit 17x7.5 up front with a 225/45/17 tire and 17x9 with a 255/40/17 tire..
