Enkei RPF1 Query
Currently Im running staggered 8" and 9" setup with a +45 offset. 215/45/17 and 245/40/17
Rear arches are rolled and tab relocated, front fenders are semi stock with the liner tabs bent up.
I`m wanting to upgrade the fronts to 9" wide with a +45 offset again, but as one of my front fenders has some body filler in it from before I bought it I currently cant really pull the fronts
What i`m wondering is, If I ran a 215/45/17 stretch on the front, same tyre size I`m running now, should I have any clearance issues or should the tyre setup be similar to what i`m currently running just on a wider rim?
I test fitted the 245's on the front and obviously i'd need a pull and some camber.
Any info much appreciated as my options are either buy two fronts and stretch or maybe buy some concave face rota grids and run a similar setup.
Thanks

The 215/45R17 is really going to be stretched. The tire mfg's only recommend up to a 17X8 for the 215/45R17. Negative camber will give you the most room in the wheel well. If I can help with the tires let me know.
Why would you want to increase the size of the rim only to stretch the same narrow tire? The only purpose for the wheel is to support the tire you want to put on it. Wide wheels by themselves don't mean jack unless you've got the rubber to put on them.
Unless you plan on doing it right and going 245 all around, save your money.

Cheers jim.
The only reason I would run that size of tyre is because I currently can't pull my front fenders due to a previous repair.
Once the car is painted the fenders will be pulled and a 255 setup all round.

Thanks. Would that look ok in relation to the sidewall profile on the 245/40 rears?
I somehow managed to completely mess up tyre sizing on my last s2000 and the front tyres looked really beefy compared to the rears.
I've had the staggered setup for nearly a year now and I need to replace a front wheel so I'd prefer to run non staggered all round but at the minute avoid major fender mods

i had a 215/45 on my x9's in the front when i had my rpf1s....it wasnt that bad compared to some of the stretching that goes on around here. if i ever had rpf1s again i would do a 215/45 because of the concave face + no clearance issues as far as rubbing goes
