Default Enkei RPM2 (17")

I own a 2003 S2k and I'm in the market for new wheels and tires (daily driver).
I have fallen in love with the Enkei RPM2's which (I believe) have been discontinued.

Does the Tire Rack still have access to them? I don't see them on the website...

Does anyone think it's a bad idea to buy wheels that may no longer be in production?

I found a set here:

http://www.buywheelstoday.com/search/wheels.asp

but my friend keeps pushing me toward the RPF1s because of weight.
Thanks!
-Dave

The higher the better for offset. Enkei makes a 17x7 +45, 17x8 +45. Those are the best choices for clearance.

Thanks, Harry!
BTW: is there anything wrong with 215/245's or would you just prefer to have more options in tire size? I'm circling my purchase date and I'm so grateful for all the advice.
Thanks again!

nothing wrong with stock sizes. its just for me if im spending 1000 (thats a lot to me haha) then id just hold out a bit longer and get a wheel that can fit more sizes. its just about having options.
