Default Evo wheels on S2000?

A buddy of mine is selling his 17x8.5 +40 bronze gramlights... does anyone have any experience on these or evo wheels in particular fitting the s2000?

Thanks for your help.

Three issues.

a) What is the bolt pattern... if it isnt 5x114, then they wont work.

b) They wont be staggered... your S2000 is designed to have staggered wheels/tires. You can tune it to work without them, but you need to know what you are doing.

c) The offset (+40) Is REALLY aggressive for an S2000. Im not saying it wont work, people go crazier and it looks cool. Im saying you will have problems: First, you will have to run narrower tires than if you wheels were correct offsets, which will hinder performance. Second, you will have to add camber which will effect performance and hurt tire wear. Third, you may have to roll your fenders.

Bolt pattern is the same as ours. Im aware and not worried about the stagger. My biggest worry is the offset, and the center bore...

Any thoughts?

Well, the offset thing I spoke to, so I wont beat the dead horse.

I didnt think about the center bore problem... but it probably will be a problem b/c the front center bore on an S2000 is HUGE. A machine shop could easily bore them out, but then you wont be able to sell them back to Evo people.

Dont forget, the center bore on an S2K is different front and rear, while (Im guessing) an EVO will be the same front and rear since there are half-shafts/hubs at all 4 corners.

it will work. 235/215 with non rolled fenders

245 rear with - camber + rolled fenders

The only thng is you will be running a non staggered fitment, but the staggered tire size can compensate for that....In a sense.

**this is if you are lowered**
