Default Falken 615's on stock ap2 wheels

Just got these bad boys and they are amazing. The car feels way better than with the stock tires.

FYI 225/45/17 front and 255/40/17 Rear

Pilot you will not be disappointed. Get it aligned also at the same time if you have the money for it. New tires you dont want to screw up. Bridgestones have nothing on these tires trust me. Another thing what size did you get?

truth,

How do the "new" sizes feel. Do they look noticeable wider than the OEM size? Performance/acceleration difference?

Feels like driving on bubble gum. The car is less twitchy than it was with the bridgestones. The look is noticeable especially with the design of these tires. They don't look out of place, on the contrary. It should have come with tire like these OEM. Drag, I'm sure you would be quicker especially off the line. Braking, the better grip makes a difference in stopping. Cornering, big difference alot less twitchy just glued to the pavement. All of these performance aspects yet they are as quiet as can be. Not a noisy treadpattern at all. Falken make's very good tires. Especially for the $$$$$$

I just got mine home from the tire store a few hours ago. Off with my snow setup and on with the summers! Woohoo! It was the perfect day for it too. 60 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. All the snow has melted here and hopefully we don't get anymore until next winter.

I paid $547 for the tires shipped to my door and another $68 for mounting/balancing. Great deal for these tires IMO. I went with the 225/45-17 and 255/40-17 combo. I didn't get an alignment though. I didn't think it was needed because my Potenzas wore so evenly.

Now I went from driving on Blizzaks for the last few months to Azenis, so the difference between the two was obviously dramatic, but they feel great. Turn in is precise, the ride is smooth, and the car tracks straight as an arrow. The sidewalls of these tires are very stiff. The tire installer even commented that they had a tough time getting them onto the wheel. They're very sticky. They pick up gravel and spit it into the wheel wells. There is lots of rubber on the ground with this tread, which is obviously a good thing. We'll see how well they do in the rain.

The only thing I realized while putting the wheels on, is that the Azenis are not directional. There is an "inside" and "outside" to them, but the tread is not unique to the left and right sides.

Here are some pics:

Pilot I bet you are very happy right now.

Silent they dont make it for the ap1 that sucks. If you ever decide to upgrade to ap2 rims or better I would highly recommend them.
