Default falken tire size opinions

hi
Iam going to change my tires pretty soon...I currently have AP2 wheels on my car and lowered with Eibach springs and I think Iam going to purchase some Falken 512 tires.
After reading all these threads, Iam even more confused as which size tires to get so that I decrease handling...(everyday driving)
Should I stay with stock sizing or go with 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 on Ap2 wheels?

512's are sheity tires for the S. Compound too hard. Your car will slide very easily... Try the FK452's or RT615's

Nothing wrong with the 512's, they're a good all season. Of course they're not going to grip as well as the 452 or 615, but in terms of how many miles you can put on them, they'll do better. Just dont drive on them and expect them to grip like a max performance summer tire.

If the car is just your daily driver, stock sized tires would be fine (bumping the rear to 255 wouldnt hurt anything I dont think).

I'm currently running AP2 wheels on my AP1 and I'm lowered on Eibach springs and Koni shocks (yellow). I'm using Falken 615's size 225/45-17 for the front and 255/40-17 on the rears and I don't rub. I love the grip.

Certain tires aren't recommended... You bought a sportscar not a yugo so please fit tires accordingly... You can get more miles on the 512's but when it whips out from you lemme know... That is why they put certain rated tires on the S...

I have 215/45/17 and 255/40/17 on 7.5/9 CE28's

I say upsize I ran 225 up front with 255's on the rear when I had stock AP2's and still run them now on my prodrives. I would recomend 615's though

They are not expensive and offer far more performance than the 512's

I assume most people here have never owned the Falken 512's. I'm on my second set, and have driven them often on a 6-spd TL and Subie Forester. I drive aggressively and have no complaints. Tread wear is slightly longer than other 'ultra' performance tires and wet/cool performance is excellent. As for dry grip, I can easily scare the crap out of my passengers.

As the the OP's question, 215/255 is closest to stock sizes and has worked well for me.
