Default Fender Gap

I need help trying to figure out what's going on with my car. My front driver's fender gap (from wheel to well) is 3", while the passenger side is the proper 2". I have the regular tire size and have never done any mods to my car. So the car sits tilted. I also noticed that the back driver's time seems to be nicely lined up with fender; while the passenger back tire is tucked in a bit. I have owned this car for 5 years and it has always been this way. Drives great but I hate the look of it. I have attached pics. Please advise. Thanks!!

Most vary... brand new from the factory mine was 3/4" different. As I made suspension changes and lowered it I got it closer to even but the springs will settle differently at times and the level varies slightly.

Have tried it with weight of the driver behind the wheel?

At set of coilovers will fix that!

Well there is at least 1 mod because those wheels are not oem. What are the tire sizes? Have you inspected the shocks for leaks or other signs of why it may be off? Are you sure a previous owner didn't change something on the car? When was the last time the car had an alignment? Corner balance?

Wow yeah I would hate that too! The 3" is above stock, and the 2" is a little bellow, so it appears your susp is tilted for some reason. Its a bit of a head scratcher. But strangely its come up in the past and owners of past have found years later they have been driving around on the rubber spring bushings/spacers that some cars came with from transport to dealerships and were forgotten to be taken out at dealership. If you had say these on the jacked up side and not the other, that would surely be the reason, but other then that I couldn't tell you. Id say 1" off is significant and not typical, something is wrong and I would get it up on a rack and thoroughly check it over.

Just curious, but how much ground clearance do you have up front and in the rear? Could you measure from the bottom of the front fender to the ground (rocker panel), in addition to the rear fender to the ground? Stock height should be 4.2" off the ground I think.
3" of fender gap seems excessive for "stock" height, that is slightly more clearance than my car has to the ground (and probably nearly half of us on here).

I think your car is actually raised above what stock height is supposed to be, at least in the front.

Here's a couple pictures of my car when it was on the OEM suspension, I think your car looks raised maybe 1/4" to 1/2" over stock height?
I'm going to guess you will end up having 4.5" of clearance up front, which would indicate that you are indeed raised over stock height.
If I remember right, I could fit four fingers between the front fender and tire, and three under the rear fender to tire.

Ok, here's a couple things I know...

1. I am not sure of any mods from previous owner

2. Tire size = 205/45/17 (front and back)(Had to change to smaller tire on back beside of the tilt in the car it was rubbing the fenders in the back passenger side).

3. Distance from ground to fender:
Back Tires (both sides) - 2' 1/2"
Front Driver -- 2' 3/4"
Front Passenger -- 2' 1/4"

4. Had an alignment done 2 years ago but never had a corner balance.

5. Measurement from ground to front lip is 6".

Appreciate all the help on this one.

Take a look at your springs, do you still by chance have the OEM spring spacers wedged in there? They were used during transport to raise the car to help get in on and off the shipping trucks/containers ect. They were supposed to be removed for before delivery but a lot of dealerships left them by mistake.

Jesus 205 tires. Wow. Terrible size and frankly dangerous for a car as prone to being tail happy as this one but that's a different issue.

Do what Feezy said. That's the easiest assumption for this. If those spacers aren't there there is something else wrong and it is more serious and will require more work to diagnose.
