Default Fenders flared, help me with fitment

So my s2k had flared front fenders when I got it. I'm not sure about the rears, they look like they may have been pulled? I'm not really sure as I have nothing to compare it to. But with this information what wheel/tire can I fit. I'm assuming 17x9 with 255s all around will fit easily most offsets(I do realize higher typically=easier for the s2k). I caught a few auto-x events last season and have been to one this season and I'm pretty hooked so I'm going function>form, not looking to stretch tires too much would prefer something meaty. I would eventually like to track once I know the car is tip top and I have invested in safety gear. So any input you guys could give me to reaffirm my thoughts on this would help. Thanks.

Something like a standard 17x9 +40-49 w/ 255's all around should suffice.

the best thing to do would be find someone local with the sizes/offsets you want to run and do a test fit.. and/or add some spacers if neccessary
