Default Fitment question

Hey Jim, Im currently Running yoko AVS sport's 255/40/17 that I bought from you early summer (no rubbing at all), and there looking like there going to need replacing soon, after 7k miles

I am wondering if I can get away with the avs sports in 275/40/17, how much rubbing would there be? If excessive, the max size with minimal rubbing would be.

Thanks for providing excellent service!

The 275/40-17 is too tall a tire .............. it'll rub due to that and your gearing would be all screwed up even if they didn't rub. If anyone made a 265/35-17 it would probably be your max width that was also the right diameter ......... but that's an odd ball size I've never seen

I agree. I don't think there is a wider tire that makes sense on the car in the 17". With the 225/45R17 front and the 275/40R17 rear, even if it did fit, you would throw off the anti lock brakes and gear ratio.
