Default Fitting 235/40 on 17x8?

Hey everyone, just needed some opinions on what you guys think this would look like. I currently have 17x8+24 all around BBS LM's and was wondering if I put 235/40 tires on them would it look dumb? Would the tires be bulging out too much or would I lose any performance? Mainly wondering if it will look good or not. I would be dropping the car accordingly to fill in the wheel gap.

+24 is a pretty low offset for our s2000s my fronts are 17x8 +45 and when I had 225/45/17s on there, it jacked my fender up. and I was running about -2.0* camber. 235s are a proper width for an 8" wheel but certainly not in the offset. you'd have to run something like a195 to stretch the tire if u want it to fit. I wanna see how your wheels fit as they are now

Yeah well I was gonna roll my fenders for sure or maybe even pull it if necessary, but rather not do that. I was only concerned with how the wheel would look, I wanted it to be sitting flush with my fenders, dont really want too much poke or it to be sunk in.

Disregarding offset, like Andrew said, 235s are the proper size on a 8 inch wheel.

This is a bad angle, but it's pretty square. These wheels are 17x8 in rear and have a 235/40/17 on it.

They are 1/2" shorter than the stock tires but will fit. I agree with a fender lip roll. If I can help with the tires let me know.
