Default Fitting question for 17's

Car: 2002 S2000

Set #1 (no tires yet, will prob go with stock 2004 size)
f: 17x8 offset 45
r: 17x9 offset 38

Set #2 (w/tires)
f: 17x7.5 offset 37 215/45/17
r: 17x8.5 offset 50 235/40/17

Can someone please tell me if either of these will fit without problems?
Thanks!

Set 1 - offsets are way too low.
Set 2 - front's probably wont work well, and rears are not very close to optimal

Stock offsets are +55 front, +65 rear. Try to keep it close to that.

Even at stock height those won't work.

Set #2 is the best option, the fronts are little out of whack, but the rears will work.

If I had to choose between the two I would go with set #2. Fronts you can live with and rears are fine.

Slap on Cwest fenders and option 2 is your best friend.

Thanks for the advice folks!

I am also considering:

17x8 offset 45 all around with 215/45 front, 245/40 rear (is this the optimal tire setup?)

Car is not dropped, can I use same wheel size but different tire sizes to setup the car properly?

Also if a wheel has too low offset, can I use spacers to increase it?

Yes
Yes
No.... lower offsets mean it will increase the distance it will stick out. Spacers will only make it worse.

You can do the17x7.5 +42 front with a 215/45/17 tire and the rear you can go 17x8 +44 rear with a 235/40/17 and you will be fine even if you decide to lower your car. 245 you may have some rubbing issues if your dumped and if your OEM height it may stick out to the edge.
