Default Front Tire Size

I have a 2002 AP1 that I autocross and Open Track. Its also my daily driver. I just purchased some Victoracers to run on my stock AP1 16" wheels for "A" Stock autocross. I have a set of 17" Volk CE28n's ( f-17x7.5+50, R-17x9+63) coming for daily driving and HPDE.

I need some help with picking the correct size tires for the fronts. I have narrowed the options down to Kumho MX or Goodyear Eagle F1's. I am not sure if I should go 215x45 or 225x45 for the fronts. I will run 255x40 on the rear.

I am concerned that since I have a comptech adjustable sway bar that will be set fairly stiff to control oversteer for autocross I may get to much understeer with a 215x45 on the track. My other concern is that a 225x45 front may rub per the wheel fitment guide.

Does anyone have experience with these wheels and tire options? What would you suggest?

I'm running 225 Yoko Advans on those wheels with no issues. I'd go with the 225s. Unless you're slammed you shouldn't rub.

I would also go with the 225/45R17 front. The wheels width and offset will be fine with that tire size. If I can help just let me know.
