Going boost...looking for a stickier tire
I currently have RT-615s (225/255) on my S2000 and am happy with the overall traction they provide. However, within the next month or so I will be going boost and I am sure that they will not provide the traction I will want. I am going to want a tire which provides excellent traction from a dig and superior cornering traction. The RT-615s offer poor traction from a dig in N/A form, and will only get worse with added power.
I have heard that Advan A048s and Toyo RA-1s are pretty popular amongst those who have a boosted S2000 and those who road race their S2000. I can get the A048s in a 225/255 and the RA-1s in a 235/255. I'd really like to get some 245/275s, but the A048s are not offered in a 275 and the RA-1s are not offered in a 245.
Any suggestions?

well the A048's and RA-1's are R compound tires that will wear out much faster than the RT615's you have..
it all matters how often you want to be replacing your tires in order to get the best traction.. i am currently running bridgestone 225/255 re050a pole positions and i will have 4.77's and 300whp within the month.. once these tires wear out, i am going to start using a048's in 225/255... mileage isnt a concern for me, mostly performance. i wouldnt drive in the rain with these tires though. if you want a tire that lasts longer, can drive in the rain and is still pretty sticky i'd look at the yoko advan neovo ad7 or the bridgestone re050a pole positions.

I live in San Diego and it doesn't rain here much so that isn't really a concern. Mileage isn't really a factor as I put about 8K on it a year. I am willing to spend more money on tires to get better all around traction.
