Default Good replacement for the OEM S02?

I am sorry if this has already been discussed before.
I have an 02 and am looking for a tire that will perform close to the S02, but do better in water than the S02. I hate going over a deep puddle around a corner and loosing the back end.
I am on stock 02 rims, and stock hight. My driving is mainly freeway driving, with the occasional weekend canyon.

Thanks in advance for any help and or recomendation.

S03 Sounds like the logical choice. Not as sticky as the S02 during the dry weather but you get a little better wet traction and tire life.

I know I've been harping about Kuhmo's Ecsta MX's and will continue.. I think they are a great competitor than the over priced s02's

Except for the fact that you can not get them in the correct sizes for 16" rims(OEM).

EDIT - Can you?

Get some swampers and make you car an all terrain vehicle, hehe.

Avs ES100 if you want to save on cost, but willing to sacrifice ultimate dry grip. I had these and then went back to the SO-2's, nothing really compared.

After going back to my stock wheels, I switched to the Yoko AVS ES-100's. You do sacrifice some dry traction in order to gain traction in the wet.

I switched to AVS ES-100's on my previous Acura CL Type S and was very pleased.
