I'm running Hankook ventus V12 front and rear on one of my rear tires ripped on the inside. I looks like I picked up a nail and as I drove home for lunch, I heard the tire on my last corner before pulling into the driveway. Defininately flat and won't pump up, Took it off and there is a big tear on the inside edge.

Of course my local Firestone doesn't have that tire, so they are pushing a Firestone Firehawk as a replacement. I have mixed feelings about running mixed rubber, yet I don't know if I can afford to replace all four tires right now. The tread on on four is still very good. Got the spare on the front and the front tire on the rear wheel now. What are the thoughts on running mixed tires? I called Jim at Tire Rack, yet only got his voice mail.

 

I wont run mixed tires on a mini van much less on an S.
