Default Has anyone fitted AP2V3 wheels on 2007 or earlier?

Searched and found a lot of info about TPMS and V3 rims, but couldn't unearth anything about this particular topic, so starting a new thread.

I would like to mount AP2 V3 rims (2008/2009 model year) on my 2007. Has anyone done this? If so, I need advice on how (if at all) it can be accomplished.

Having read the 2009 Service Manual, the TPMS system didn't come into the S2000 until 2008. Because the TPMS sensor mounts onto the inside of the valve stem, the V3 rims have a built-in counterweight in one of the spokes. I'm guessing that it would be well nigh impossible to counteract the built in counter-weights using tire-balance weights. So I'm left with 2 options (I think):
1. Mount non-working TPMS sensors, or
2. Get over it and begin to like the 2007 10-spoke rims

Any thoughts from someone who might have researched this, or done it before?

You're overthinking it.

I mounted CR wheels (same as AP2V3 wheels) on my 2004 with no TPMS sensor and it balanced just fine.

Excellent, thanks very much for the information. Just wanted to be sure before I forked out big bucks for those gorgeous V3 rims.
