Default Help with Coilovers please

Hey everyone, I plan on lowering my car this year and I would appreciate some feedback on how to do it. My local clubmembers gave been very helpful. I am going to go with coilovers over springs and shocks. I do not track the car much. When I do push the car, I have the stock 16s on it. I am currently running 225/40 ZR 18-88W on the front and 255/35ZR 18 90W on the rears. I have not had much rubbing on the 18s so far. I want to drop the car 1.0-1.5 inches with the coilovers. Has anyone ran a similar setup and what issues (if any) have you had? I was looking at Tein, Buddy Club and Megan. I would appreciate any help you could give.
Thanks
Ray

For reference his current setup:

Since these were my wheels once upon a time and I rubbed them at stock height during hard driving, I think you need to get something with better offsets or at least a set that isn't as wide. You are looking at a pretty aggressive drop at 1.5 to 2.0 inches.

One thing you could do is also get smaller tires. A 215 in front and a 245 in the rear may work.

Thanks Rich. I changed my drop to 1.0 to 1.5 inch drop. Again, I don't plan on pushing the car with the 18s on it. I might try the smaller tire next time around.

Those offsets and tires are an aggressive fitment. You might consider fender rolling and/or some additional camber front and rear to prevent them from rubbing when you lower it. And Ubetit is right... you might also consider dropping the tire widths by 10 mm if you can.

Cheers.

I think I will go for the Tein Flex with the EDFC. Thanks for all of the input and help.

Actually, the car does not look bad at all with 18"s on them...but then again, it looks a lot better and more aggressive if it was drop...
