Default Help me pleaz, offset question

Ok, I know theres tons of info, and ive been researching day in and day out. Ive went through all 80 something pages of the aggressive offset thread and didnt see the kinda setup im wanting to get.

Im, going with a 17x9 +42 offset all around. Im lowered about 1"-1 1/2" and I wanna know if theyll fit. I know ill probably have to roll the fenders. I just need to know what size tires I have to run. I wanna do 235/45 in the front and 255/40 in the rear. Is this a correct size? And do i have to run a off-size tire wall size on the account i wont be staggered rim wise? Or can i do a 235/45 all around?

Please help a noob with this stuff, any info will be much obliged!!

You'd be better off with 235/40-17 than with 235/45-17's. 235/45's are taller than stock, which doesn't help... Also, taller tires in front looks dumb.

IMO those offsets are not conducive to running widish tires (though there are always plenty of people around to tell you you can rock 255's all around on even a 35 offset).

Personally, if I wanted to run 235 front/255 rears, I'd be looking for offsets closer to 55 front and 50 rear.

With 42 offsets, I think I'd stick with stock AP2 sizes: 215/45-17 front, 245/40-17 rear. *Maybe* 255/40-17 rears.

Remember, so-called "aggressive" offsets merely reduce the width of tire you can run without rubbing.

Have you been to the Wheel Fitment Guide stickie?
