Default help needed.

which front rims size and offset would be better? want to know which one will fit the best and have about the same fender clearance as the rear, without any fender mods, rolling. will be running 17x9.5 +65 offset in the rear with a 255/40/17 tire. the front want to run a 225 or 235/45/17

these are the front sizes.
1st choice 17x8.5 +58 offset
2nd choice 17x8.5 +48 offset
3rd choice 17x8.0 +44 offset

basically do not want to get the wrong offset to match the rear. do not want the overall track width to be wider in the front than the rear. the next size offset for the rear is a 40 offset. and will stick out too far. much help appreciated!!!

The 3rd one will have the closest fender clearance to your rears. 17x8 +44 translates to about 17x 9.5 +62, the 2nd choice is about a 17x9.5 +60

For every half inch difference you add +6mm

why don't you just do some homework?? there are a few reputable shops in Hawaii that are very knowledgable in wheel fitment.

I would say number 3 but I would be suprised if you don't have to roll the fender lip with that offset. I would stay with a 215/40R18 for the tire and maybe just run more negative camber.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

I don't see any benefit to going with lower offset than option #1 (+58mm), that'd be my choice EASY.

I wouldn't consider 235/45-17s for the front, I'd go 235/40-17. I'd rather the fronts be .6" smaller in diameter than rears than 0.4" bigger, and also you get more clearance.

FWIW, a 235 on +58 offset will put the outside face of the tire at the same location as a 215 on +48 offset. By going to lower offset you merely reduce the tire width you can run, without getting any "more aggressive" look that the low-offset proponents love so much!

I don't think aggressive fitment is his concern. funny how this guy dogs people about exhaust looks but he's trying to buy wheels and tires solely so they do not even come close to rubbing any part of his car. you want a wheel to fit?? go custom offset.
