Give the poor guy a break. At least make a suggestion and then direct him to the search.

Answer: OEM S-02 (if you're keeping the stock rims)

Now, you should use the search function -- lots of info on this topic.

My rears were completly gone by about 15K miles. I replaced them with the Michelin pilot Sports and they have plenty of tread remaining after nearly 15K more miles. In addition, I have found their wet weather performance far superior to the Bridgestones. Their dry weather handling seems fine as well; however, I neither track nor autocross my S2000, so this is purely subjective.

I learned a lesson about the S-02s.

After about 14K miles of aggressive mountain and cloverleaf driving (and one mighty burnout) they were all but gone.

I hydroplaned and spun on a lightly wet freeway after several days of rain. Luckily, no damage.

I tried the S-03s and sent them back after 15 days and went back to S-02 OEMs'.
It was a whole different feel of the road that I did not like at all.

I've got just 5000 miles on my S-02's and they are at the wear bars on the outside so I'm not taking any chances , espically with SACS2KDAYS coming up. As an old tire guy I've had good luck with the toyo so I'm going to try the ToyoProxes T1S and see what happens They need a 300 mile breakin before you can ride hard so we'll see! Blair

I've been happy with these too. I dindn't see a crappy tire listed in this thread, though. People seem to like Pilot Sports quite a bit and many like the S-03 in 245/45. Stock tires are OK but there are good substitutions if you don't like them. I didn't.

Make sure that (other than oems) you get 245/45-16 rears.
