Default How do you feel about staggered wheels?

So im going to look at a set of Work Emotion Cr Kai'a tonight. They are off of a s14 240. Wondering how everyone feels about this and what will be needed.

The fronts are 17x9 and rears 18x9.5
(dark bronze for those who care)

I am un aware of offsets at the second. will know for sure tonight and will be posting it up to check fitment ect. Fender rolling/pulling is not an issue for me as it will be getting done regaurdless.

Keep in mind the car will also be dropped around 4 inches by the time body work is done and its ready to go.

Im just unsure if I really want to do staggered or not.

Any real Disadvantages?

Anyone have a setup similar?

LMK!

Thanks!

Edit: also wondering about Bore diameter and such. Hubcentric rings? how should I go about that?

The advantage is you have a greater selection of tire widths. Outside of R-comps you can't get more than 275's on a 17" wheel.

But being that low I don't think you're going to get a lot of tire on your rims being that low.

Non-staggered will increase the tendency to over-steer if you track at all but you can rotate your tires which is a plus

Looks like the OP was talking about staggered diameter. I believe this has a tendency to make a car understeer but don't quote me.

Not real sure of the impacts on handling, but in order to look right I'd think you'd probably have to have a slight rake in your height setup, unless you went with a taller tire in the front.

And that would look kinda weird imo.

You should still stay with the same overall diameter on the tires. Changing that can throw off anti lock brakes. If it were for the track you probably would not be going with the stagger but I don't see any issues for the street if you use the correct size tires.
