Default how to find the size

im sorry for the dumb question, but here it goes. i need to get rear tires and i would like to know if i can get 255s instead of 245 (what i currently have) wheels are after market Volks GTns 18"s. i have bought the wheels used so i don't have records of what the with is. how can i find out the width of the rim, without having to take out the tire of the rim?

there should be a sticker on the inner barrel, so if you just unbolt one wheel and look inside there should be a sticker or the specs might even be engraved on the inside of the spokes.

Im sure you can run 255's on there because you already have 245's installed.

aware of that one but the sticker is gone and even though i have 245s they seem tight already as it is, (they over lap the lip) thats why i would like to make sure on the size, wouldn't want to buy 255s and then find out they wont fit

if the 245's over lap the lip a little, im guessing an 8" width. i know there are a few set-ups that are 18x7.5 and 18x8 that a lot of people run due to fitment issues.
