Too bad you’re rubbing in the back. I'd either dial in a little more negative camber to correct that, or roll/cut the fenders and go with a 255/40 in the back and either a 225/45... 235/40... 245/40 up front. I would not run a 235/45. It’s too tall a profile for my taste. If anything go with a shorter profile up front if you don’t match the rear, as it will benefit your turn in grip and steering response. But just fyi the 225/45 is a perfect match to the 255/40 as far as sidewall height and maintaining OEM width stagger.

Being your running a non stagger with 9" wheels. I would run a 255R/245F set up.

I think I will stick with a 245/40 in the rears. I have -2.6 camber in the back and still rub. I'm sure throwing in a 255 will rub even more right? I guess I'm leaning more towards a 225/45F 245/40F set up.
Sounds like you need to roll or cut your fenders then. 225/45 is still slightly taller then the 245/40. But that’s just what I would do. But I also understand what I do and what someone else does can be very different. I'm running 295R/225F

Hate to see 225/45 fronts with 245/40 rears on an S2k. Fronts are only slightly taller, but they look noticeably beefier. Other cars with this tire setup (Z3 MCoupe) look fine, but on the S it just looks wrong. Probably due to how low the front fenders and hoodline are and the rakish profile of the car.

Especially coming from a setup with the rears slightly taller than fronts, you *will* notice, and it *might* bug you.

i use 225/45 and 255/40 on my 17x9 RPF1s. you dont need an aggressive roll with 255's in the rear. you will need to re-locate the bumper tab. the fronts you will need rolled and it all depends on your alignment how much.

I'm planning on staying with a 245/40 in the rear. What front size tire would look "right" on the car then? Or maybe I should keep the same setup as I currently do (235/40F 245/40R) just different brand tire?

what looks right is obviously subjective based on all the different opinions here! if you want a staggered setup with the V12s and have 245/40 in the rear then really your only two options are 225/45 or 215/45 up front. the 215s are only 1mm shorter than the 245s but you will have a very notable stretch up front. the 225s are 3mm taller than the 245s and will have a little less stretch. if neither of these sound ideal then i'd go for another type of tire that carries the 245/235 combo you are used to.

Okay, I see now that my fronts (sumitomo htr II) still have plenty of tread left on them. What is the best course of action in this case? I know these tires aren't that great but should I just get 2 more of the same tire and throw them in the rear? Or I was thinking about getting a pair of star specs for the rear? I just don't want the fronts to go unused.

Yep that's what I would do in your case.

Ive decided to get my rear fenders rolled/cut more to fit a 255/40 and get 235/40F. Sounds good guys?
