How will this Setup affect my handling?
hi guys,
been doing abit of reading on handling aspects of the S2000 but cant exactly find what i am after.
im interested to know how would the car handle with 17x9 +38 (tyre size: 225/40/17 FR and 245/40/17 Rear).
There are a few people on these forums running these aggressive offsets. It looks fantastic (flamesuit on!) but im curious as to how the car handles.
looking forward to hearing your input.

It will handle well, but your fenders won't like you.
was planning on getting them flared/pulled.
how will handling be though? more geared toward understeer or oversteer or just more balanced
with all that extra meat up front, you'll be able to oversteer more easily and you'll have more control under braking (you can also trail brake more easily since you have more surface area to play with).
i'd keep the tires non-staggered, too. 225 up front is too risky on a 9" wheel, esp if your car is going to see the track. roll/flare your fenders all around and go 255. you'll be able to rotate your tires, too.

this would be a 'street' setup. it wont see the track. As i have other rims for track.
but i do use my car for daily commuting and do some freeway driving. would that still be safe??
