Default Huge Advan RSII group buy on NSXPrime

Hey guys, I wanted to come here, say hello to the Honda brethren, and tell all of you about something... I hope I am not violating any forum rules.

I own a 2005 NSX and searched for a long time for the perfect performance wheel for my car. We have limited choices for NSX's because of front tire clearance. I want something well-built and strong, something as light or lighter than the factory Forged wheels, something that didn't completely break the bank only to bend later, and something that looked big without actually being big and heavy. After months of research into everything from Volks to BC forged, I settled on the new upcoming RSII by Advan. I am sure you guys are familiar. I shopped around and got a very low price, then decided to see if anyone else had an interest and perhaps we could all get a better price. Well I expected 2-3 other people, but it tuned into a huge number of people. Right now I have 25+ people on this group buy. We get another tiered price break at 30 sets, so I wanted to know if any of you are interested in getting in with us. What I can tell you is that you won't get better pricing anywhere. This is a one time shot to do this on a brand new wheel model. You don't have to wait for more buyers to join for your discount, we already have 25 people.

I am not a vendor, there is nothing in this for me other than getting a big price break like everyone else. This thing has gotten big enough now to where we are guaranteed early delivery from advan. The wheel won't be shipping in 17's for another 8-10 weeks. 18's and 19's o ship earlier. I don't really know what is popular here, but 17/18 staggered is very popular on the NSX, if you are interested please either just sign up at prime and add your name to the list there, or add your name here, or PM me at either place.

Here's the thread there:

Here are some photos:

A view on some cars of the old RS:

Some photos of the wheel spinning at the track. As you can see, great for showing off a BBK.

So please let me know if interested. We will hand over our order list to the best vendor soon. I'm also open and taking quotes from any AUTHORIZED vendors wanting to give a bid. You can PM me.

Guys again, very rare opportunity here. This is an outstanding super light wheel and the price is fantastic. Hope to hear from a few of you.

Guys what sizes do you want? To give you an idea, for the nsx we use stagger 17x8 and 18x10 and for those I started out at $3100 or so. Then as the group grew, it came down to 2900, then 27, then 26, I can tell you now I am in the low to mid 2K range and that is for 18's in the rear, 17's will be less. I can't quote exact as my price has been dropping as the group grows and as I shop it around. All I can tell you is that with 30 sets being shopped, you won't get better. Advan is aware of our group buy and is really going to work with us to get our sets made and ready first. You will be one of the first people with this wheel on your car. The 17 is going to weigh in the high 14 to very low 15 pound range, LIGHT. Although not fully forged, these are flow formed and are on par with many forged wheels in terms of strength. The design itself is good for strength as the spokes are many and evenly spaced. It leaves fewer weak areas in the hub. The RSII now has side cut spokes for less weight and more strength, as it forms an I-beam spoke. It also has more concave.

I will call on Monday and get you guys some more exact prices. Just tell me what sizes work. I don't need to know offsets as that doesn't affect the price. Perhaps one of you S2K experts can chime in on recommended performance and aesthetic offsets. I just know the NSX. We run really small up front,.

So just post your name and desired size and I will pm you guys with prices next week when I get them. I am happy to be working with S2K guys on something.

popular sizes here in the old advan rs and rg models are
17x9 +45
17x8 +45
i think most people like to run non staggered now with the 17x9 +45 all around
the 17x9.5 +35 is just too much work to fit with a decent tire size so i think the sizes i listed above would be most popular

Great. You guys make it easy. I will price those out and you can of course ask for something different if you wish.

I would be very interested in a non-staggered 17x9 setup. If I'm running Downforce (+30mm) front fenders and rolled rears with moderate (-2 degree) camber, what offset can I expect to run?
