Default i need 18s suggestions

wear is not a huge issue as i don't drive terribly much. I do track the car when i can, but don't have money for a set of race tires/wheels. i want some good, sticky 18" tires, preferably ones that won't kill me in rain either. i was never happy with the 712s and it's time for new tires anyway.

Thanks,
Steve

I would say bang for the buck the Yoko ES100 would be a good choice. It handles better than the Kumho in bothe wet and dry. My best option is the S03 Bridgestone for all around handling in both wet and dry.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

what about the Kumho MX's? They seem to be generating quite a buzz. Also how about the Nitto 555s? I really like the stock S02s and would like to get as close to thaat type of tire as possible. That's the main reason why i don't like the S03s cuz i know there's no chance at all of them being as good as the S02s.

Thanks,
Steve

Kumho doesn't make the MX in the matching 225/40R18 and 255/35R18 sizes.

would it be really problematic to use a 265/35r18? I thought a lot of people were running those on the rear....

i was, but i just took them off.......too wide for my wheel and offset (18x9 SSR Comp).

replaced them with 255's and it's golden!!

besides, not ALL 265's are the same "width" (i.e. actual measured width/section width)

It depends on the offset of the wheel and the width of the wheel you are using.
