I have my heart set on Antera 309 rims but have some questions.

I want 18 x 8 in front and 18 x 10 in back. Will I have to roll the fenders for this? Also, what is the offset needed?

Also, my car is Suzuka and rims just dont stand out with this color. (dont like dark rims) Should I go with the chrome or silver.

Also, any good suggestions on where I can get a good price?

In order to run 18x10 in the rear without rubbing, you're going to need a very high offset - somewhere in the range of +65 to +70. Mind you, someone recently managed to tuck 275 tires in (you can find the tread in the Photo Gallery) by rolling the fenders.

IMO chrome rims don't look good on any car, especially the S - I'd go with silver.

The other knock on these rims is that they are heavy (if you care)....

When I was looking, they were very expensive to get...hopefully you find them cheaper, then I can get a set too!

 

Have you seen BeachBum's car Matrix? He's got the same rims - had to have them machined at the back to fit but look great!

 

The weight doesnt matter to me. When I AutoX, I'll use the stock rims with Hoosiers. Are those the chrome or silver rims?

Rob, yes I have seen BeachBum's car... he has my rims!

Hunter, not sure whos car that is, but it is a European owners car. Those are silver.

Machined = he had the hubs machined to remove some material to tuck the rim in further.

 

machining the hub....not something i suggest.

i've seen hub failures.

 

You've also seen unmachined rims fail....your point?????

 

I must admit, I'd steer clear of something like this as well. Makes me more than a little nervious...
