Default Jim@tirerack, I need tire selection advice.

Jin, I'd like to put some tires on my MY00 S2000 that will stick like glue and last forever, but reality gets in the way. I'm looking for a street tire that will give me good wear, and as much warning as possible, as I approach breakaway. However, I'm concerned that the car might be squirrelly with harder rubber, so I need to know what will work. I'm not racing anybody on the street, but want to be able to drift the car around a little without worrying about the sudden breakaway of the Potenza's. For the street I'm more concerned about warning and wear than absolute grip. I do not drive the car in the rain.

Also, I'd like to get some idea of what it will cost me to get a second set of wheels and appropriate tires for autocrossing.

Thanks,

RED MX5

I would say take a look at the Yoko ES100. They are not as sticky as the OE tires but should last a little longer.
