Unhappy Jim are we correct? and Tire Rack Wrong?

I have read with great interest the information about the stock rear tires for the AP1 225/50/16 OE S-02. TireRack stocks them. But if I want to look for another make or model tire. The TireRack fitment guide gives me all 225/50/16, and not any 245/45/16.

What is right if I want to change tires? Which tires are okay in 225/50/16 and which are not? There is no real differentiation.

S-02 OE okay.

S-03 225/50 or 245/45

RE-050 225/50 okay? only size available

That's just for Bridgestone.....

The fitment guide is incorrect. It can not think about the tread width of the OE tires. It only goes off the original sizes of the tires.
If I can help call me.

Would the site moderator please consider putting this post in the library so that we can eliminate some of the chatter and circular logic? Now that there is a definitive explanation.
