Just mounted RPF1s
Hey guys,
I purchased some used RPF1s (17x7.5 17x8) from a local guy and had them put on the car today. I put some Cooper zeon 2xs tires on the back and had them balanced statically at the shop. However, I feel like there is a lot of vibration coming from the rear (I'm eliminating the fronts because the steering wheel doesn't wobble). Do you guys have any recommendations as to what I need to do?
There is a few shops in atlanta that offer high-speed on-car balancing. I've read on here that this is not recommended due to the torsen diff. However, this show is known for setting up vehicles that are tracked and I'm sure they're quite familiar with the damage that this can do to LSDs...so I'm thinking they have a way to prevent damage.
Also, I've noticed a significant difference in steering input and off the line acceleration. I'm surprise that a few pounds off each wheel could make such a drastic difference. Is it just me or do you guys with RPF1s notice this as well?
Thanks in advance

Go to Gran Turismo East in Chamblee - they did my alignment and it's awesome. Everything was spot on. Gabe is
Oh, and FYI, I drove two hours to go there, that's how good they are.

I know some of you may disagree with on-car balancing but they know what they're doing.

If you bought them used, a wheel could be bent too.

Thanks, I actually had my alignment done there 2 weeks ago. Car felt felt amazing afterwards. I'm actually taking it there tomorrow to get the wheels balanced.

What Specs did you get? Did Gabe let you sit in the car while he worked on it? He knocked mine out in about 20 mins. The guy is amazing.
