Jim@tire rack, have you heard anything further on release date for these tires? And available sizes, 295/35/17 in particular?

I contacted Kumho USA to get an update on the V720. Corporate headquarters is now reporting this tire is scheduled to debut here this April, so very soon! I couldn't get any information on size options.

It is a replacement for the XS not the V710. I was with Kumho and they are hoping to have the sizes needed by April to make them SCCA legal for this year. I did not get a chance to drive them but they are assuring they are quicker than the XS and will be comparable to the other Extreme Perofrmance tires.
If I can help let me know.

Right, well that’s encouraging to hear they are faster. Early on the word was that these were supposed to adhere near R comp levels in dry conditions, being the most extreme summer tire built yet. That was a notation a couple years ago before the delay however, so who knows now. We look forward to your testing to see how they indeed stack up against the current extreme summer line up.

Yes sign me up for a pair of 295/35/17 and 255/40 please! As soon as they come in you have a sale.

I hope they can deliver on this when the tire releases in April! I would love to see a "game changing" tire.

First they are a replacement for the Ecsta XS. They will have the 200 treadwear rating and they are telling us we will have the 6 sizes in to be legal for the SCCA this year. They are expecting a slow roll out on these tires. I do not have any sizes listed as of yet.
IOs I can help let me know.
