Default Kumho MX and SPT's.

I am coming up on 27,000 miles on my 02 S and am looking for some new tires. My S02's are bald on the back. I have always loved Kumho tires, and had the SPT's on my last turbo civic. They were nice for daily driving. I have searched and seen a few people use the MX on the S. What sizes though? It looks like the SPT's are the only ones that come in the correct AP1 stock wheel sizes.

I have run the MX's on other cars and they are great tires for the money.

The MX's are FANTASTIC and blow my ES100's out of the water. I regret getting these...
You may want to give the new Toyo's a go. I hear they are solid, as well.

So what size Mx's are you all using? 205 up front and 245's in the back with what sidewalls? I'm guessing Kumho makes the MX in a 245 if you guys have them, because tirerack dosent look to have them in many 16" sizes.

Yeah I was also looking at the new Toyos, I just already know I love Kumhos. I had the Yoko paradas (they sucked) then the es100s and I liked them untill I got the SPTs. So the MX's have to be nice. How many miles have you all got out of the rears of the MXs.

After searching some more it looks like Kumho dosent make the MX in a 245 16....so what size do you all use. Are they like the S02's and the 225's are actually a 245 or no.

Check out the BFGoodrich G-Force Sports. I've run Kumho 712's (which i was not fond of) and the ES100's (which wear out pretty quick), and I found my happy medium with the BFG- low cost and hooks suprisingly well.

I have MX's in the rear on 225. Now, I've never ridden in a car an AP1 with 245s in the rear, and if your just a normal driver who doesn't track much, I'm not sure it makes TOO much of a difference. (like me.. I don't track, just canyon carve and DD).

I love these tires though.. well worth the money. Really quiet, even to the sense that you can hear the tires squealing in the turns. Good luck!
