Default Kumho MX...worth the switch?

I currently just ran some tires and sizes with prices and the Kumho MX is 200-300 dollar savings for the same sizes as a S03 or Toyo T1, which to this point I have ran nothing but S03's. I have been hearing great things about the MX and drove my friends car with his, seemed like a good tire and was very sticky. It also gave a squealing warning before the tail broke loose due to a different side wall that is a little softer than the other choices. My S03's never give a verbal warning before breaking loose, they just break and that's that. Anyone have any comments about these tires, I'm thinking of buying a whole set when my wheels come in, but I do not, repeat do not want to buy them due to the fact they are only cheaper, I want to know the performance side of it.

Good dry grip, more flexible sidewalls, (suggest you try 36PSI), very predictable at limit, but they do get noisy as they accumulate miles. Overall, a very good tire. Hope this helps.

FYI--255 S03s on light-ass Volk CE28 rims weigh 49.5 lbs. 275 MXs on Shuk rims weigh 50 lbs. Yeah, the sidewall may flex a bit more, but the S03s are HEAVY. I mean, the 17 x 9 Volk rim is 6 lbs lighter than the Shuk which means that the S03 weighs ~6 lbs per tire more FOR A SMALLER SIZE!

The MX is not going to give you the all around performance of the S03. They will be every bit as good in the dry but not close in the wet. Bang for the buck the MX is very hard to beat. The only problem is they do not have a tire to fit the OE wheels correctly. As long as they are 17" or 18" you would be fine.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
