Default Low Disk, Normal Disk, Hyper Disk

Hey guys,

I'm just getting into the aftermarket wheels thing. Using the fitment guide and reading ALOT of posts I've come up with sizes that would fit well. I'm not lowered and I dont have a bbk.

Front 18x7.5 +49
Rear 18x9 +55

But on the website for the wheels I want, under their sizing guide they have Low disk, Normal disk, and Hyper disk. I think this has to do with clearing the brakes but I'm not sure. What is this and which is right for my 04' S2K??????????

Thanks in advance

What the disk does is changes the lip size of the wheels.

What wheels are you looking at?

This is an assumption...

I would think the offset and wheel width would be what you should be more concerned with, If you pick those two, it may determine what disc you get.

If you know you want a certain disc (because of a BBK or you want a super deep lip), then you may be required to go with a specific width and offset.

Make sense? Unless the wheels are super custom I BELIEVE (again I could be wrong) that the offset and width will determine what disc is available OR the disc you choose will determine what offset and widths are available.

I'm guessing you are looking at Volks?

Thanks for the reply...........I've been trying to keep it quiet about which ones I'm looking at.............but I cant seem to get any straight answers so here they are:

Noble in Black 18"

Where it says Line-up, click on 18 and it gives the spec's. I'm assuming I could go with an 18" rim , normal disk and be safe, something like:

18x7.5 +48 front

18x9 +55 rear

Im running 18x8 +56 and 18x9.5 +62

I'm pretty sure the sizes you are looking at are close to what some people run with VOLk's, but you should check on that.
