Default lowered and offset?

was thinking about getting some 18" on my car 18x8 front 18x9.5 rear and was wondering if being lowered had anything to do with what type of offset you get?any info would be great.thanks

p.s. I'm lowered on some H&R ajustables about a finger gap all around

Peace
David

The width and the offset of the wheels as well as the width of the tires all have something to do with it. Even your alignment settings after the car is lowered will determine if it is going to rub.
To answer your question, the higher the offset the better.
If I can help with the package let me know.

definately go for the 18x8+54, and 18x9.5+62. other offsets are too low.

18x8 +49
18x9.5 +55

works fine - why too low? BBS and SSR both had the same offsets on their 18s, people run the with a drop just fine. Camber may need to be tweaked a little, but they look great - very flsuh with the fender, gives a very aggressive look, and does not stick out past the fender at all, still remains tucked.

that setup would require some negative camber. there's only about 18mm or so to spare on each side both front and rear, both the front and the rear on that setup are pushed out a few mm extra. nothign a uk spec alignment wouldn't take care of tho.
