Lowering Springs
Sup guys! I'm new here on s2ki from Pacific Northwest. I just bought a 17" Enkei RPF1 17x8f +45 offset (225/45) and 17x9 +45 (245/40) on a ap1, I'm currently running stock suspension the wheel gap is about 2 1/2 fingers in the front and 3 in the rear. ,I would like to drop it 1" or so (Tein S or Swift Sport)any advice to which springs is best for stock shocks? Also, NO fender work is prefer.
I live in Seattle, a lot of bumps and hills I don't want to be slammed or hellaflush. Thanks guys.

Eibach pro kit has their coil firmness set pretty optimum for stock shocks. 20% stiffer with a strait rate design, so its more noticeable improvement in response in turning transitions, wile being strait rate it doesn’t over tax the shocks like some progressive wounds springs will at similar spring weight. I think that is the thought behind it anyway. Drop coils are going to be compromised no matter what, but I felt these were a pretty good compliment in handling wile removing half of the wheel gap. No complaints. But still don’t expect to be on these for more then a year or two before your rear end starts getting bouncy. I don’t know how many miles you have on your eom shocks now, but they wont last forever.
swift sport mach or spec r. either would be good for stock shocks. i've had sport mach for 50k miles on one set of stock shocks, and the spec r for another 50k miles on another set of stock shocks...

The more you drop on factory shocks, the less able they are to cope with damping duty and the quicker they will blow out, just fyi for guys looking to exceed-1" and add any safe level of performance. If your into parking lots, then by all means, just cut your factory springs.
