Default lug nut size?

I have searched and found the appropriate torque setting is 80-81 lbs/ft. If that is wrong, please correct me!

What is the size of the nuts? I am about to purchase a torque wrench and need to get a 19mm for my other car. What size do I need here, and do I need a very long one or a standard one?

Thanks.

80 ft/lbs. is "by the book". However, I and a few others feel this is not quite enough for complete security. I go at least 90 ft/lbs. But that's just me. Since you don't know me from a hole in the ground, go with the book.

Our lug nuts are also 19mm. A standard 1/2" drive socket will work.

When you get a 19mm socket, get the
"six point" style for a better fit and distribution of forces on the lug nuts. The multipoint (must common) style has a higher potential to strip.

I have been viewing/contributing to this site for over 1 yr. and have found a few people who have been very knowledgeable and credible. You are one of those I trust. After a year online here it has been an entertaining, informed, eventful and overall very positive experience. I purchased my S2000 from a member of this site last year which renewed my trust in people.... I hope it continues for many years to come.
