Default Lug nuts

I got a set of Muteki lugs (red) 12x1.5 for my Work wheels.
I'm not sure if I just got a bad set or something.. but the coloring on it started peeling almost instantly after use (from my wrench and especially from touching the wheel)

I'll have to get pics to show you what exactly what I mean, but basically I'm curious if I'm the only one who experiences this or if this is normal. I know Muteki isn't the best quality lug out there, but I'd at least expect it to not peel.

Also, it scratches the inside lug hole of the wheel whenever I use them... again, normal? I'm pretty sure I got the right size lugs.

Your not using them on your oem wheels are you?
Can't expect much from a $30 set of lugs I guess, I didnt think they would peel or fade that quickly though.

nope, they're Work wheels. I figured I could buy two sets since they were cheap But come'on, I didn't expect them to peel after my first time torque-ing!
