Default lug nuts

I have heard that the stock lug nuts don't work with aftermarket wheels. Is this correct? If so what kind of lug nuts do I need to buy?

Right, the crown on the lugs sit differently on stock vs aftermarket. 949racing has some good lugs and are inexpensive: http://949racing.com/lugsandvalves.aspx

SOS has a basic set as well: http://scienceofspeed.com/products/e...uner_lug_nuts/

Muteki makes a bunch of different ones that are good quality. The color does tend to chip off on every lug nut I have seen though from the cheapo ones to the super expensive ones.

I wouldn't buy those personally.

Just search for muteki lugs. Or password jdm. Either will work.

Perfect timing, I just got wheels for my car and now I'm wondering about the quality of all the different lug nutts out there some are 200+ while others are under 50. What exactly should I be looking for when I buy some? I'd hate to have a run away lug nutt ruin my day.

Any recommendations for black lugs that have a durable finish? Seems that anodized finishes would be very durable. Is anodized more durable than powdercoating?
