Default lugs

I just went to Lute Riley to get my maintainance done and the guy told me that my all my lugs were aftermarket. I thought kewl, but then he say that the design makes the lug not fasten tightly enough making it loose? He said to stick with the OEM lugs. I bought my s2k used.

What should i do?

1. leave the aftermarket lugs and not worry about it

2. ask the salesguy to replace the lugs with OEM ones

I tried to point out in a couple of threads that the stock wheels use a spherical seat and aftermarket nuts are conical. They will hold the wheel on but do not seat properly and are good candidates to cause a failure.

I use the stock nuts on the stock wheels.

If there is a failure is it my fault or the dealers. I bought it with the aftermarket lugs on all 4 wheels.

I guess i will go back on Friday and get them changed out. Dont want to be going 100+ then have one of my wheels fall off.

I'd say go get them replaced. It probably won't cost much. Contact HandA, talk to Trevor, he will get you the best price on all OEM parts. Click Site Sponsors above to get the link.

I think that Lute riley will replace it for free. I still have not filled out their customer survey yet so, if i am not pleased they will get "poor" customer service from me.

I pretty sure they will work with me
