I am looking to powdercoat my oem wheels and wanted to get some new color matched or different type of lugnuts.

Looking on all the vendors sites they state that they will only fit w. aftermarket wheels. Which would fit with oems ?

(fyi my oem setup are the ap2 wheels)

 

None....the OEM Honda wheels have a ball seat configuration. Most aftermarket wheels have an acorn seat configuration....

 

spoon makes a set of ball seat, i belive the GM spoon ones are all ball seat

thats only aftermarket ball seat i know thats tuner'esque

I don't want to put chrome lugs on if i'm painting the wheels white.

 

i would like to know this also. i would like to put some black volk style lugs on the car but i have oem wheels.

 

So is acorn the same as tapered?

Or is ball the same as tapered?

 

I would just powder coat your OEm lugs

 

Tapered seat = conical seat (most cars & aftermarket wheels)
Ball seat = spherical seat (Honda wheels)

Acorn nuts are closed-end nuts, like those used on the S2000.
I've never heard of an "acorn seat".

 

easy way to tell

oem need round end, aftermarket 60*taper

the only nuts i know of that are rounded are the gunmetal spoon ones available thru ajr and other fine spoon dealers
