Default Machining AP1's to fit spacers!?

I'm running a widenned ap1 rear I want to run a 10 or 15mm studded spacer. Problem is the smallest studded spacer that will fit is 25mm will fit because the studs stick out past the spacer and holes in the back of the ap1 aren't deep enough.

I was thinking maybe if I take them to the machine shop they could drill out the holes at the back of the wheel so I could fit spacers?

Is this a bad idea? would I compromise the strength of the wheel? they seem solid enough and the spaces on other OEM wheels run back further

The holes on the back of the oem wheels should be 20mm deep. U should be able to use 15mm bolt ons.
