Default milling down RPF1

Has anyone tried this to get a better fitment? Is there enough material there to get another 5-10mm +offset?

These come in plenty of sizes. Why do you need to mill them down? What offset are they now? Also on the concave face at least if you milled it down the wheel likely wouldn't clear the OEM brakes in the front.

You would also be lowering the load capacity of the wheels. Would it be lower than what is needed? I don't know.

Very bad idea. The RPF1 is a gravity cast, not pressure cast disc (center). It employs Enkei's MAT technology which is a fancy way of saying they designed it very carefully to use the minimum material mass necessary to meet load capacity, stiffness and fatigue targets. Cut into that pad and you would be seriously compromising all their careful work. Think of a racing wheel as an airplane wing. Used as intended, they have just enough strength to do the job, eventually wear out and not an ounce of material to spare to make them lighter.

OK good to know. I saw that someone had posted something about their milled down CE28s to get the proper offset, and didn't think it was a good idea. but thought maybe it wasn't as big a deal as I thought so would ask forum members their thoughts.

Certain wheels it can be done but at best you can maybe mill 3-5mm off the back. Even then I would probably just buy wheels with a better offset from the beginning.
