Default Need advice on these wheels.

Ok so I wanted the ssr professor sp1's but I have had a really hard time fidning them in the correct sizes that I wanted. So im planning on picking up a set of rota d2's (flame away!) But I cant complain about a set of wheels for $550 that will be just as good as any high end wheel for everyday driving. (I average about 100 miles a day on my S) And here is what I plan on using. I just need to know if it will work.

Front: 17x7.5 +40 offset w/ a 205 tire
Rear: 17x8.5 +48 offset w/ a 245 tire

Now will these work? I know it says in the faq's that a +43 is needed for the front but will the +40 work if I only use a 205 tire?

Thanks in advance to anyone that actually tries to help me rather than flame and offer no help whatsoever.

It could work depending on the tire you choose. Some tires are just wider than others and could rub. With those offsets I would see some rubbing even with the narrow tires.

As I recall the 17's D2 doesnt clear the caliper because it rubs it.

How about the 18 inch? And would it still rub if I got a 50 offset in the front as well? It doesnt seem like a +45 would rub in the front.

i think rotas makes 18x8, not sure if it'll clear the calipers or not, but i dont think they makes any other width other than 8 inch wide so youre gonna be stuck with non staggered set up

and yeah 18x8 +50 would be fine for the front
