With 18x7.5 you will need at least +50mm. I would go for +55mm.
225/40/18 (25 inch diameter) works pretty good with a 18x7.5 wheel. 215/40/18 (24.8 inch diameter) works also, but the ride is harsh and that tire size is pretty rare.

18x8 is not that great of a size for the rear. Mainly because it is recommended not to go above 245/35/18. You want the option to run 255/35/18. Get at least 18x8.5...I like 18x9.
18x8.5 - 60mm
18x9 - 65mm

These offsets are tough to find...and alot of wheels will push the limits. For example, I am running:

18x7.5 +48mm, 225/40/18, toyo t1-s
18x8.5 +50mm, 255/35/18, es100 yokohama

I think I have about an inch drop...dunno, I am using the comptech coil overs. But I will tell you that I rub sometimes in rear when I am driving fast over some dips in the road.

I am also having wheels made in 18"

so if I went 18X8 +55mm and 18X9 +65mm I should have no issues with a 1" drop

Twiztid,

Your sizes would be fine. If I can help with the tires let me know.

jtem,

You can use either 18X7.5 or 18X8 in the front with anywhere from 48 to 55mm offset no problem. I also would recommend a 18X9 rear to allow for the 255/35R18 tires. You will find more options in this tire size. The offset would be somewhere around 55 to 65 mm offset.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

What rims are those Unicron?
Ive been looking for Volk Te-37s in a gunmetal with a polished lip, Ive seen them in magazines on other cars but cant find them.
Does anyone know of another rim similar to that?
