Default New RE-11 sizes for AP1 wheels

It appears that the RE-11 is now available in 245/45R16. I havent had to buy tires recently, so i dont know if this is news or if i missed it before. Is it feasible to run these in the rear while running the 225/50/R16 tires up front? I realize those narrow AP1 wheels weren't designed for something that wide, and they might be a bit 'mushy' feeling, but I might try. Also, is that enough stagger from front to rear? I know the ap2 runs 215/245 f/r.

Thanks.

Edit: currently running stock sized Star Specs.

The 245/45R16 RE-11 would be excellent on the stock AP1 wheels. They are also offering a rebate right now. If I can help let me know.

I'm currently running a 225 square set up with Dunlop star specs on stock AP1 wheels and a gendron 1.25 FSB on 3/6, and the car is great. It's stable, neutral, and has a lot more grip than the original 205/225 set up. I can't tell any difference in steering feel beyond the increased front end grip. Hopefully we'll see more 245/46/16 tire options soon. I'll probably switch to a 225/245 setup and back off one setting on the sway bar once my current set of Dunlops are done.

so if you ran the 245 in the rear, what size would you recommend running in the front Jim on a stock size ap1 wheel?

You can go with either the 205/55R16 or the 225/50R16 in the front. Either tire would be fine.
If I can help let me know.
