New tire size help
My new wheels should arrive in a few days and I'm going to need to order tires soon. I got a set of Advan RSII's in 17x8.0+54 (front) and 17x9.0+63 (rear). I want to make sure I get the proper sized tires for the wheels and that they'll fit without issue before ordering. My car is an '06 and the fenders, suspension, and alignment are all factory/unmodified. I do not want to alter the fenders at this time.
I checked around the site and the offsets should be perfect. Since the wheels are a bit wider than the stock AP2 wheels I'm thinking about 225/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 in the back. Do you think I'll be fine with those sizes or does anyone have any other suggestions?
If it helps I will most likely go with either the new RE-11A or possibly the Direzza ZII.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Yup, 225/255 probably the best-fit combo. I'd be tempted to try 235/40-17 fronts, though...

Thank you both for the replies, I appreciate it!
I did think about doing the 235 up front but I'd rather not risk any fitment issues this time around. Once I get the 225 mounted I'll see how it fits and it should give me a good idea about possibly doing 235 next time around.

235/40 might actually be an easier fit since they are smaller in diameter (24.4" vs. 25"). I ran into this on the 240Z, 215/60-15s rubbed, but 225/50-15s were no problemo.
With +54mm offset, shouldn't be a problem. Worst case you could run some camber.

I agree, either option for the front. It is sort of a wash with the smaller overall diameter of the 235/40 and taller but slightly narrower 225/45. If you want to maintain consistent overall diameter as the rear 255/40, then the 225 would be the right choice, it also is a closer to ideal tire width for a 8” wide rim.
