I am a new "member" relatively unsophisticated, please forgive any dumb questions. I Need tires on my 2001, 16 rims. I was considering looking on this site for some later 17" stock rims (AP2s?). I have been happy with stock SO-2 tires. I gather that the 17" rims take RE050s stock? Anything I shold know about tire size and clearance on the 2001? Any suggestions on where to look for 17" rims and tires? I imagined sets being available when somone goes to custom rims.

I have also considered installing a glass window, whats the drill?

Look in the for sale forum (and note they have a sub forum for California). Also post in your local S2ki forum and see if anyone has a set for sale.

There are no fitment issues using the AP2 wheels. Rear AP2 wheels are a couple pounds heavier than oem AP1 wheels and some owners can tell the difference in straightline performance. When you get tires you might consider a lighter tire to offset such as the Kuhmo MX.
